Coach Paye Greg Paye, Head Coach and Owner

Coach Paye has been fencing for over 30 years. In 2001 he won 1st place at the Mid-Atlantic Sectional Championships, and in recent years he has ranked among the top Veteran (age 40+) fencers in the country. He is a certified Prévôt d'Epee, and Moniteur d'Armes (in foil and saber) with the U.S. Fencing Coaches' Assocation, with advanced coaching training from Polish Fencing Masters Zbigniew Czajkowski and Janusz Smolenski. He is a certified Fencing Officials Commission referee in foil, epee, and saber. His professional coaching and teaching experience includes the McDonogh School, Johns Hopkins University, Boston University, Boston Fencing Club, D.C. Fencers' Club, Baltimore Fencing Center, and Goucher College.

Coach Debbie Deborah Apple, Assistant Coach

Debbie is a founding member of Maryland Fencing Club who has been fencing for over 10 years. She is a certified Moniteur d'Epee with the U.S. Fencing Coaches' Association, and a certified referee with the Fencing Officials Commission in foil, epee, and saber. She has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Johns Hopkins University, and a graduate certificate in School Administration and Supervision. In addition to her work at the club, Debbie is also the head coach for Goucher College.

Assistant Instructor Ron Ron Santos, Assistant Instructor

Ron has been fencing for more than six years and has participated in many local and national competitions. He has an E classification in epee, is a certified referee with the Fencing Officials Commission, and has participated in local tournament organization and management.

Jack Jack Plumer, Assistant Instructor

Jack has been fencing for over 6 years, and during his competitive career has held a place in the national standings for Youth-12, Youth-14, and Cadet age groups. He earned his B classification at a national Division II tournament, and re-earned it at a local Senior Open a few months later. He is a student at the John Carroll High School.
