Suggested Local Tournaments - Maryland Fencing Club Tournaments - All Maryland Division USFA Tournaments
Practice Tournaments are tournaments for Maryland Fencing Club fencers only. Typically they are limited to fencers who are beginners or yellow, green, or blue ranks.
These tournaments do not require membership in the U.S. Fencing Association. For these tournaments you do not need any extra equipment or clothing beyond what you normally bring
to class (i.e. athletic clothing, fencing jacket, fencing glove). Practice tournaments will have the word "Practice" in their title on AskFred.
USFA Tournaments are generally open to anyone who is a USFA member, although the tournament may restrict entries based on gender, classification, etc. To fence in a USFA tournament,
you must be a Competitive member of the USFA, have a full fencing uniform (mask, jacket, underarm protector, knickers, long socks, athletic shoes, glove), 2 body cords, and 2 electric epees. See the
Equipment page for more details. To join the USFA, visit the USFA web site.
