Head Coach Greg Paye has been fencing for over 30 years. In 2001 he won 1st place at the Mid-Atlantic Championships, and today he occasionally competes in national Veteran competitions (age 40+). He is certified Prévôt d'Epee with the U.S. Fencing Coaches' Assocation, and has completed advanced coaching training with Polish Fencing Masters Zbigniew Czajkowski and Janusz Smolenski. His professional experience includes the McDonogh School (Director of Summer Fencing Program), Harford County Public Schools (Phys. Ed. Teacher Development and Substitute Teacher), Johns Hopkins University, Boston University, Boston Fencing Club, D.C. Fencers' Club, Baltimore Fencing Center, and Goucher College.

​​Coach Debbie Apple has been fencing for over 10 years. She is a certified Moniteur d'Epee with the U.S. Fencing Coaches' Association, and a certified referee with the Fencing Officials Commission. She has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Johns Hopkins University, and a graduate certificate in School Administration and Supervision.

​Instructor Ron Santos has been fencing for over 7 years. He has participated in many local, regional, and national tournaments and earned an E classification in epee. He is a certified referee with the Fencing Officials Commission, and an Assistant Moniteur d'Epee with the U.S. Fencing Coaches' Association.

Safesport

All club staff members are registered as Professional members with USA Fencing. They are required to comply with USA Fencing's SafeSport regulations, complete training in professional behavior and safe practices with athletes, and are subjected to routine background checks.
